Resident Identity & Point-of-Care Access
Ordinary user login is not the complete CareBand proposition. The patent position connects the identification of an individual to a context-based decision about what may be released.

The commercially relevant question is not merely whether Regis identifies residents. It is whether a resident-identification event is connected to a context-based decision that determines which categories or individual attributes are released to the particular user or system.
Two different architectures
- Identification only: the resident is confirmed, then the user's existing permissions govern the whole record.
- Identification plus determination: the resident is confirmed, then role, authority, purpose, relationship and location determine which attributes are retrieved and released.
Whether Regis' current or planned systems perform the second sequence cannot be established from public material. Technical implementation not publicly disclosed.
